Welcome

We are North Walsham Gymnastics Club. We are a volunteer based club and all our Coaches, Officials and Gymnasts are registered and insured with British Gymnastics and Eastern Counties. The club was set up by Alexis Thurston and Patricia Johnson in 2001 at its current venue, North Walsham Sports Centre. We started with 1 class per week and now occupy the Sports Centre 4-5 days per week and hold a waiting list for classes.

North Walsham Gymnastics Club caters for girls and boys from school age. We are a club for all abilities from beginner to competition and we ensure that the children enjoy their sessions, whether they participate for 1 hour a week or train to compete.

Our BIG goal is to set up our own facility where our equipment can be left out. This would enable us to offer more classes, different disciplines including pre-school, host competitions, hold courses and parties.

If you have been on our waiting list for a while and have not heard from us please email as we have many children who we have been unable to contact.

Preparation or How To Succeed in Gymnastics
"The art of gymnastics is:- the ability to stay straight in the vertical, the  inverted and the horizontal, the ability to change shape with ease and precision, the ability to bounce from the hands to the feet or feet to hands, the ability to fold and show suppleness, the ability to run and jump, the ability to balance and remain still, the ability to lift the body with ease and finally to do all of these things, often together, with ease and elegance."
